Sorry for your loss, Yi Xue. When I lost my father, despite not having a good relationship with him, I was very shocked and sad. I did not want the sadness to go away because I unconsciously thought that if I am not sad, it would mean that I did not love him. What a weird thought! Excessive sadness does not suit the living and with time I could let go without guilt.
Thank you, Lauca! Losing a parent is hard, and our grief towards it is unimaginable. I always thought of what my aunt once said (about the passing of her mother, my maternal grandma): that imagining a world without her mother was simply incomprehensible to her.
I am sorry about the loss of your father. The fact that you did not have a good relationship with him, your grief, as I can imagine, would be the same if not greater. ❣️
Thinking of you this season, Yi. Grace upon grace, be gentle with yourself.
Thank you, Ayn! 🫂❤️
Beautiful, Yi.
Thanks, Jeffrey! 🙏
It is a comforting thought that you expressed your love to her before she left the world.

别太难过了❤️

I love that you created a booklet for your mom, and she was able to read it and take it with her. Heartfelt, Yi. Sending you lots of love, xo
Thanks, Lani, as always!! 🙏❤️
I still remember the photos of your family took and shared from her birthday, and the videos and laughters.
And FB Memories sent me reminders. Not sure if it helped or on the contrary ...
Orphaned. Yes. This struck a chord.
That thought hit me out of nowhere, and I was quite shaken by it.
No matter how old we are, there is a certain part of our mind that forever stays at a stage when we need our parents.💜
This is beautiful, and yes, take all the time you need to sit with your grief.
Thank you, Sarah! ❣️
